The Pumpkin Patch

After work on Friday we met Eric and Coleen and the kids at the pumpkin patch. In my mind it was a good opportunity to get off the diet for a few hours. (Yum! Yum!) Pumpkin pie! We went to Bishop's Pumpkin patch. It was the first time I have been there and we went on the free day. There is lots of things to do. Rhonda took the picture of the Bassetts on the hayride with her.

Maycie had so many places she wanted to show me! I was so excited to be there.

We stopped to look at the ponys. The Grandma and Grandpa gave in and they went for a ride.

After a few trips in a circle I was dizzy! At first I thought that Maycie was going to freakout but the second the pony began walking she started smiling. Treven asked for the biggest horse and felt just like a cowboy! Yeehaw!

Cute Is As Cute Does

In Chico there is a park called "One Mile" each week they block off a portion of the river to create a swimming pool. On both sides of the pool there is plenty of grass to have a pic-nic. On especially hot days in September it is a fun place to have a family pic-nic and cool off in the river. The best part is simply having the family together and of course the grand kids!
It looks like Jeremiah has had a bit too much fun and is tired now. Just before this picture Maycie took a cup of soda and poured it over her head. Then acted surprised! She got a bath in the river with Eric. Treven is always so good with her and the camera. (Smile!)
Chicken tastes best when eaten upon a blanket in a park.

Wow! Time Flies!

Wow! Time flies! It has been over two months since Rhonda has been back from "camp". After a bit of affectionate requests I have decided to up date the blog again. I'll start with "camp".
Above is a picture of what it looks like from out in the lake. I've got to think it is one of the most peaceful places on earth! The air is cleaner, the lake is beautiful, and the wind blows just right to make the trees sing a lullaby that that puts the willling to sleep.
In the morning, when the lake is stilll, you can hear acorns fall from a mile away! When Rhonda is out in the paddle boat down the shore I can yell "I Love You!" to her or simply listen in on her conversations.
It has been a few years since I have been there but if I close my eyes and breath deep I can still smell the fersh air!
