Waiting....wondering.....

Have you ever felt that you are just waiting....?

Often you are not sure for what or who. But it just feels like there is going to be something else.

Recently quoted Pestalozzi said, "In distress, determination is half way to salvation." What is going to come through the door? Will it be pleasing to the sight? Will it sooth the conscience? Will it frighten or discourage? Do you wait until the door opens on its own or do you open it anxiously to find out its secret?

Our Kids

Dug up some old pictures and thought that we would post them. Sometimes we look at pictures of our family and wonder where the time went.

I wish I could have them back as little ones that came running when I came home. They each are special in their oun way! However, if we had them back in their youthful state we would miss out on the blessings that we have received by gaining the son-in-laws and the daughter-in-law that we have.

Sooo...here is our happy family!

Playing around with Photoshop

With all the spare time that I have found I worked on this picture in Photoshop! Notice the shadows etc. Fun stuff!

For the sake of writing something of interest: Rhonda and I are doing well! Rhonda planned an obstacle course for some of the disabled kids in our community last Saturday! It turned out pretty good. Some of the other members in our church helped with other activities. I went over to have a "look see" and it looked fairly well attended. I am going to say 100 to 200 kids were there!

I am staying very busy with school and all. Class three nights a week and an additional 10 to 20 hours of study. I am trying to become a CFP or Certified Financial Planner. It is like a CPA in the financial services field. I'll be in class through the end of August! Yuck! It seems to take a bit longer to get things to stay in the usable area of my head any more!

So for relaxation I play in photoshop. On later posts I will demonstrate some of the fun stuff. The picture of Rhonda and I kissing was also constructed in photoshop! Well, I'd better get back to work or I will be trying to use photoshop for a living!

I LOVE FAMILY !

Obviously I could not wait long to put up pictures of our other two grandchildren! As our own kids have grown-up and left us for their own families we cling to the opportunity to be with our grandchildren.

So far, we have been the luckiest grandparents on the earth! Our friends Treven and Maycie bring soo much joy into our lives. We truly are blessed.

Just when you think you have tapped out your capacity to love you are given grandchildren.

It Doesn't Take Long

It seems that we are forever confronted with items that "don't take long" until we never have enough time to sleep. (I guess I am trying to justify the bags around our eyes.) Sadly enough, the small "it doesn't take longs" seem to get in the way of the "I want to do's". Our lives seem so busy that we don't find time to do some of the important things like stay in contact with family members.

As the o'l antidote says "time flies" and then I am at a point that I must make another posting to the blog or our dear friends will be bored and never check back on us. Besides, posting to a blog "doesn't take long"!

Eventually I hope to post pictures of the entire family but for now you will probably get some odds and ends. I do not mean to offend any family members if I initially don't post a picture of them. It truly is a matter of time and pictures.

I think a good place to start is with the newest addition to our family. Jeremiah Bryan Klingler our third grandchild was born on March 22nd at 9:10 in the evening. He was 2 months premature and weighed 4 lbs 2 oz and was 17 inches long. He was born to Curtis (our son) and Rachael (our daughter-in-law). Rachael was quite ill and the baby was an emergency delivery.

Everyone is doing very well and Jeremiah has been out of the hospital now for about two weeks. He has grown to a bit over 5 lbs and is 18.5 inches long. We sure do love him but don't get to see him as often as we would like! He is such a cute little guy!

Yup ! It's Us

The difficulty of starting a blog is that the first impression is made in the first few lines of text. (Should we be serious, funny, thoughtful, sarcastic, or down right stupid?) As with all good communication you want the first few lines to grab the attention of the reader in such a way that they want to dive into the rest of the "blog" to reap the rewards of spending a few minutes of their life online.

None of such nonsense with our blog. It's just a bit about us and our family! Welcome to the Bryan and Rhonda Klingler Klan blog! (Thus the brklinglerklan address.) Not much imagination and certainly does not catch one's attention. However, we will try to have a bit of fun as we enjoy the ups and downs, the stress and relaxation, the fun and (hopefuly not often) sadness of our lives.

So, please sit back, read on!
